Discussion: Practicum Project Methodology and Evaluation
The assignment this week is a discussion board.
Just to refresh you on the topic, am hoping to integrate virtual sitters to replace bedside 1:1 sitters for patients. (If this topic doesn’t sound familiar, or if this is a different writer from who am requesting, message me and can explain!?
The assignment this week –
Post a brief summary of your Practicum Project focus, including the goal and objectives of your project (to serve as a reminder for your colleagues).
Explain and justify your selected methodology. Include a detailed explanation of how you could meet each objective using this methodology. describe your evaluation plan, noting at which points during your Practicum Project formative and/or summative evaluation will occur.
My previous goals and objectives looked something like this….
Practicum Project Goals
To reduce hospital costs and budgeting incurred on patient fall injuries and self-harm.
To cut on costs of hiring of a one-on-one bedside sitter to monitor the patients.
Objective
Utilize virtual sitter video, instead of bedside sitters, to monitor patients at risk of falls or inflicting self-harm.
Centralize patient monitoring system and connect patients to a central monitoring system, monitored by one technician.
MOST IMPORTANT PART per my instructor in this discussion board –
An important aspect of your methodology is that you are asked to address the who, what, where, when and how for EACH objective. It would follow that you restate your objectives to clearly link these notions to this objective.
