In November of 2021, the Texas Center for Justice and Equity (TCJE), a special interest organization, studied local media coverage of bail and bond issues in Houston and Harris County. I’ve included the final report below.
For this assignment, you will need to:

Read enough of the TCJE to understand its purpose, method, findings, and conclusions; and

Draft a 4-5 page response to the report. In the response, summarize the bail reform issue in Houston and Harris County, explain the TCJE methods and findings, and use any of the readings assigned in Section II of the course to explain how and why news media in Houston and Harris County misrepresented the issue.

In a capitalist and democratic society there are certain realities that exist as a result of ones social class, race/ethnicity, and/or gender.
