Did they complete all the steps of ADDIE? Did they give you any ideas about your own training program?

Onboarding, Training, and Developing Employees

In our professional experiences, most of us have been frustrated with coworkers that didn’t know everything they needed to know and cost their employer money (or their coworkers time) needlessly. A good plan for onboarding and training can engage employees and save money.

Once you’ve created your own training program, review two training programs created by your classroom peers. Did they complete all the steps of ADDIE? Did they give you any ideas about your own training program?

Describe the role of informal caregivers, including demographic and cultural considerations and the risks associated with caregiving.

Week 3 Discussion

How do perceptions of death change across the life span?

Explain the evolution and role of hospice and palliative care.

Describe the role of informal caregivers, including demographic and cultural considerations and the risks associated with caregiving.

Reflecting on the article and/or the video by Atul Gawande, what are some key considerations for end-of-life care?

An excellent response will be at least 3-4 paragraphs in length, using complete sentences and concise language. Please cite at least 3 of this week’s Learning Resources in your response.

Calculate the Reynolds number for the following parameters, when a steel ball is dropped in water.Write the equation of motion of the system?

If the diameter of Al wire used for theses measurements is 4 mm and its length is 6 cm. Using graph
and given parameter of the material
Estimate (i) ultimate stress (ii) ultimate strain
(b) Young’ modulus for a wire is 4

Calculate the force needed to stretch the wire by 1 mm.

The length and diameter of the wire is 80 cm and 2 mm respectively. (Write all details)

If the diameter of the piston = 13.64 mm. Calculate the pressure (in Kilo Newton / m2 ) for the load mass
(including piston) 850 grams. (Write all details) (0.75)

Calculate the Reynolds number for the following parameters, when a steel ball is dropped in water
using viscometer apparatus. (Write all details)

Diameter of the steel ball = 30 mm

Distance travelled by the ball in the water tube = y = 1200 mm
Time taken by the ball to cover the distance = t= 1.16 second
Kinematic viscosity for water =

After terminal velocity is reached, the acceleration of a body falling through a fluid is:
(i) zero (ii) equal to g (iii) less than g (iv) greater than g

maximum (vi) None of the five (**g = acceleration due to gravity=9.8 m/s2 )

When a ball is dropped in vegetable oil using graduated cylinder:

Write the names of forces acting on the ball

Write the equation of motion of the system

Examine the relationship between the factors that affect wellbeing with specific reference to the impact on Tom’s well-being.

Tom’s Story Assignment

Examine the relationship between the factors that affect wellbeing with specific reference to the impact on Tom’s well-being. (6 marks)

Describe one specific need for Tom and explain how goal setting can contribute to the satisfaction of that need. (5 marks)

Explain how the following factors may influence the availability of and access to resources for Tom.
i) age
ii) gender
iii) socioeconomic status
(6 marks)

As his exams get closer, Tom may find he does not have enough resources (eg time and energy) to study and do everything else he has to do.
Propose and evaluate strategies Tom and his family could adopt to effectively manage his resources. (8 marks)

What sectors of the economy contribute to GHGs in the US? Which nations are the top 5 emitters of GHGs?What level of government – federal, state (including regional partnerships of states) or local – may be most effective in implementing these GHG reduction policy instruments? justify your answer.

POLICY -TOOL
Answer the following questions:

What sectors of the economy contribute to GHGs in the US? Which nations are the top 5 emitters of GHGs?

Select one sector in the US– and describe 2 environmental policy instruments or tools that you would suggest be applied to encourage or require reductions in GHGs within the sector you have selected.

What policy-tool selection criteria would you use to select these 2 policy instruments?

What level of government – federal, state (including regional partnerships of states) or local – may be most effective in implementing these GHG reduction policy instruments? justify your answer.

What is the difference between policies and strategies to “mitigate” climate change versus those that help people “adapt” to the effects of climate change?

What is the difference between policies and strategies to “mitigate” climate change versus those that help people “adapt” to the effects of climate change?

Give an example of a policy or action designed to “mitigate” climate change and one that designed to enhance our ability to “adapt” to the negative impacts of climate change.

How may making more information about emissions from a manufacturer available to the public change the behavior of the regulated firm?

MD7

One of the innovative environmental policies discussed in this chapter is the Toxic Release Inventory (TRI). This is considered an “information-based” environmental policy.

How may making more information about emissions from a manufacturer available to the public change the behavior of the regulated firm?
