Research the field of psychology online. Use this as a starting point: What is
Psychology? Locate information to answer the following questions:
How would you classify this profession?
What does a psychologist do?
What areas of study make up the field?
What types of disorders are in the field?
Post a summary of the information you’ve gathered.
Which area of psychology is most interesting to you? Why
Analyse a transcript using thematic analysis to interview with ‘Louise’ on the subject of friendship.
Describe the SBIRT process and use in healthcare.
Describe tool, validity, scoring information and citation. Your patient’s score, and the interpretation of the patient’s score.
How was the Motivational Interviewing process applied and shared your client’s score and need for behavioral changes
Describe the referral for follow up treatment
Discuss the evidence in this video/ clip that does or does not support the term/ concepts meaning as outlined in the text’s research. Be sure to fully explain how the content you selected from the video/ article supports or refutes the research outlined in the textbook or peer reviewed articles. Do not simply give the example without linking it to the research you have put forth.
IMPORTANT: Integrate external research. For the question that asks about the external/ peer reviewed research, you must include an article that comes from a peer reviewed journal outside of the course. Waves are a familiar part of everyday life. You have probably seen water waves and waves on a string. You hear sound waves and see light waves.
Waves have a wavelength, λ, a frequency, f, and a speed, v. These three quantities are related by:
v = fλ
In this lab you will look at a simulated wave on a string – a transverse wave. You will set the frequency of the wave and then measure the wavelength and speed. We will use these to try to answer the question: “Does wave speed really equal frequency times wavelength?”.

Which media, such as movies, television shows, books, or other writings are influenced by or are written about the theories of Sigmund Freud or Carl Jung? Once you have found an example, then think about, research, and describe in writing, how your choice reflects Jung and Freud’s concepts.
The specializations listed on pp. 148-153 (Helms & Rogers, 2023) provide a good start.
