Discuss why these motivational techniques are appropriate choices and what the desired outcomes might be.

Employee motivation

Choose three of the following motivational theories to research for this assessment:

Goal-setting theory.

Control theory.

Action theory (Rubicon theory).

Self-regulation.

Maslow’s need theory.

Reinforcement theory.

Vroom’s VIE theory.

Equity theory.

Write a 4-5 page speech that addresses the following:

Introduce yourself and the topic you are to address.

Briefly explain at the three motivational theories you researched for this assessment.

Simulate a short question-and-answer interview with a hypothetical audience member who raises his or her hand in response to your query, “Who in the audience feels unmotivated in their current job?”

Construct the information you need to make a proper decision on what motivational theory to apply to the particular situation.

Include the audience member’s job title, work responsibilities, attitude toward management and coworkers, stressors, and professional goals.

Analyze the relevant attitudes and motivations of the hypothetical employee based on the information you collected above.

Apply two motivational techniques from the literature (for example, contingent rewards, job enrichment, or feedback) in the context of the characteristics of the situation.

Suggest an action plan to be considered by both the employer and employee to increase motivation. Be sure to apply research findings to support your discussion.

Discuss why these motivational techniques are appropriate choices and what the desired outcomes might be.

What socially learned cues in sport signal the appropriateness of being aggressive?Identify and explain two methods you would use to help young athletes control their emotions?

Behaviors in Youth Sport

Part 1:

Young athletes participate in and discontinue sport programs for a variety of reasons. Stress can also significantly affect a young athlete’s sport participation. Addictive behaviors can influence both participation and performance.

In this activity, you’ll reflect on your childhood youth sport experiences and determine what factors played a role in your decision to participate in and/or discontinue participation in a youth sport program.

Part 2:

Stress and addictive behaviors can have a significant impact on youth sport participants. To help them cope with stress and/or addictive behaviors, you can adapt and use several anxiety reduction techniques that are relevant for children. Identify and explain three.

Part 3:

In frustrating sport situations, young people are particularly influenced by adult behavior.

Why do some people act aggressively and others do not?

What socially learned cues in sport signal the appropriateness of being aggressive?

Identify and explain two methods you would use to help young athletes control their emotions?

Discuss research on spiritual development and how it could be connected to the other areas of development (physical, emotional, and social).

Empirically Based Theories

Researchers who study lifespan development approach the field from several perspectives. Each general perspective encompasses one or more theories – broad, organized explanations and predictions concerning phenomena of interest.

Developmental theories provide a framework for understanding the relationships among a seemingly unorganized set of fact or principles.

Develop an initial thread of 400 words, current APA format, with 2 Scholarly Citations (no older than 5years)

Detail one human growth and development theory and discuss its empirical support.

Read Defining Spiritual Development: A Missing Consideration for Student Affairs (Love & Talbot, 2009), and discuss research on spiritual development and how it could be connected to the other areas of development (physical, emotional, and social).

Analyse the similarities and differences between their chosen ethical framework and the requirements of at least one other professional body or employing organisation.

Assigment title “ Professional Organisational Issues in Counselling”

Assesment criteria:

1.1 Explain the use of psychological assessment tools in counselling.

2.1 Evaluate the need for an ethical framework for counselling and psychotherapy.

2.2 Explain the main elements of one recognised ethical framework for counselling and psychotherapy.

2.3 Analyse the similarities and differences between their chosen ethical framework and the requirements of at least one other professional body or employing organisation.

1.1 Refer You have given some good examples for the importance of psychological testing and how they are administered but you need to relate this to counselling and explain the psychological tests.

2.1 Refer you have given examples with regard to the importance of an ethical framework, You must refer to clients not patients, only medical facilities have patients. What might happen if there was not an ethical framework?

2.2 Refer you will need to explain with examples the whole of the BACP ethical framework, and explain counselling clients not patients. Give a thorough overview of each section.

2.3 Refer you will need to explain the whole of the BASW ethical framework, then compare to BACP the similarities and differences in detail, and refer to clients not patients.

Important suggestions from tutor :

You are using referencing, but  would suggest you focus on counselling theorists , that are focusing on counselling and not any other profession.

The first word of each question will tell you how you need to answer the questions. And Each part, e.g. 1.1 and 1.2 is a specific focus so these 2 questions need complete depth, examples, and explanations between each part of the question, so it is an assignment within the main assignment.

As from 2.1 and all the 2 questions, this is expecting a full assignment based on this specific area and topic. And Psychoanalysis is no longer a recognised theory, it is now psychodynamic but you are not learning this theory on this training, so stay with TA, gestalt and Pc as theory answers.

Create a study using the HEALTH BELIEF MODEL (HBM) to facilitate medication adherence. For the experiment, use 1,000 patients in 4 groups (250 inpatient using HBM, 250 outpatients using HBM, 250 inpatients without HBM, and 250 outpatients without HBM)

Research Design – Schizophrenia Study

Read attached instructions thoroughly and cover all points.

Topic: Medication Adherence in Schizophrenic Patients

For methodology, create a study using the HEALTH BELIEF MODEL (HBM) to facilitate medication adherence. For the experiment, use 1,000 patients in 4 groups (250 inpatient using HBM, 250 outpatients using HBM, 250 inpatients without HBM, and 250 outpatients without HBM)

Utilize these citations within the paper:

Describe any drug side effects and/or adverse effects of the drug treatment and their biological basis, including issues related to contraindications, interactions, drug metabolism, and elimination. In addition, explain risks, benefits, and ethical implications for high-risk and exceptional treatment conditions.

Psychopharmacology/Neuroscience: Drug treatments for OCD

Critical Review

The final assignment for this class will be a 10-12 page critical review of the drug treatment for OBESSIVE-COMPULSIVE DISORDER.

The review will use peer-reviewed and/or scholarly sources to provide an evidence base for the evaluation of current drug treatment modalities for the disorder.

The paper will be evaluated on the inclusion of the following information:
Introduction:

Evaluate OCD in terms of symptomatic and behavioral presentation.

Include the time, course, and progression of OCD.

Evaluate and explain special features of OCD epidemiology including risk factors for development of the disorder, lifespan and reproductive factors increasing risk of developing the disorder, and any genetic, environmental, or behavioral factors that increase risk.
Theory:

Evaluate the predominant theory or theories regarding the biological basis of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

Explain the OCD in terms of pertinent neurotransmitter and receptor theories and use your references to provide an evidence base for these theories.

Analyze neurotransmitter system(s) involved in the pathology of OCD, including a description of:

1) the involved neurotransmitter(s) and receptor(s)

2) regions of the nervous system (brain, spinal cord, or peripheral nervous system) involved with any pathological anatomical changes

3) abnormalities of neural circuits and pathways.

Include an explanation of how receptor agonists or antagonists would theoretically treat OCD to reverse the pathology and restore normal function, or why they would be expected to improve symptoms.
Treatment:

Evaluate drug therapies for treating the OCD based on the current understanding of the biological basis of the disorder.

Include a description of the behavioral symptoms and physical signs of OCD and identify the drug class(es) used in pharmacological therapy with a discussion of the mechanism of action of the drug class(es). (i.e. some classes of medications: glutamatergic agents, antipsychotics, and 5HT-3 antagonists, etc.)

Drug classes and drug types are not to be confused as they are two different things when explaining drug treatments.

Explain why the pharmacodynamics of the drug class(es) would affect the pathology of OCD to restore function and/or improve symptoms.

Include a discussion of the drug pharmacokinetics for each drug class.

Provide examples of available marketed drugs within each class.

Describe any drug side effects and/or adverse effects of the drug treatment and their biological basis, including issues related to contraindications, interactions, drug metabolism, and elimination. In addition, explain risks, benefits, and ethical implications for high-risk and exceptional treatment conditions.

How can we bring cultural stuff into all these individually as cultural safety will be the same for all of them? they need to research these types of tests, consider what cultural groups they’re used on, is this appropriate etc

Evaluation of Client Report

Some FAQs on the assessment:
1.My interpretation is that the point of this assessment is to evaluate the report you have provided by the Psychologist and whether we think the choice of tests (Abstract Reasoning, Numerical Reasoning etc) is the correct choice. Additionally, we need to interpret the results of those tests and if we believe the recommendations are appropriate – is this correct? Yes

2.The report appears to be very poorly written, which am guessing is what we need to include in our response. Do we need to include little things like spelling, grammar, incorrect use of terms (e.g their)? Yes, students can mention this

3.Regarding the tests – because there are multiple types of these tests do, we just assume which one specifically was used out of the available types? Students need to research types of tests (ie personality tests), they can narrow to one and use this as an example

4.You have mentioned previously we need to consider the norms for the test, some of the norms mentioned at the bottom we do not know. Based on your reply to Sophie’s post where you said, ” Students are given the types of tests, consider norm groups and the appropriateness of using these types of tests on different norm groups”.

Does this mean instead of referring to whether they are suited to Andrew specifically (because we do not know if he is Australian etc) – are we meant to be looking at that type of test and whether we think it is appropriate for measuring that norm e.g.

if personality measure a good test to test Australian personalities? You need to consider whether the norm is appropriate for the person completing the assessment and the purpose of the assessment.

For example, if the position applied for is managerial and the norm group is Year 10 equivalent that would not be appropriate as the norm group would not be at a high enough level compared to what is expected of the assessee

5. know others have commented on the Abstract Reasoning and you have mentioned we need to evaluate any errors – does this include the percentile etc? yes, students can comment on errors

6.Do we require a minimum number of references? And how can we reference Andrew’s test in the reference list? Also, how can we reference the test used when there are multiple types for that test? students can narrow to one test, no minimum as such, however students should research broadly

7.What IS INCLUDED in the word count? everything except reference list and title page

8.What about the word count for each section of the assignment? no word count for each section, students can use their discretion here

9.What does it mean by explain and apply test theory – are we meant to explain why these types of tests were used? have these types of tests been standardised, norms etc

10.When talking about the strengths and limitations – is this for all the tests that were used or for psychological assessment in general? be specific to the tests used in this report, but okay to include some thoughts/evidence generally on the strengths/limitations of psychometric testing in an applied setting

11.Test – Do we explain what is good/bad. AND Interpretation – explain what have found about Andrew’s suitability based on what  interpreted from his results for the role. the purpose is to evaluate the report, not the assessee in this case.

Although you are likely need to include some evaluation of ‘Andrew’ to clarify where mistakes have been made the main purpose should remain on evaluating the report itself

2.Test Abstract Reasoning– Do we explain what is good/bad. AND Interpretation. So on and so forth for all the tests conducted. Yes to an extent.

If the interpretation and reporting of the test is accurate in the report then you won’t need to comment too much. However, if there are corrections to be made then you need to include them. You should always be covering good/bad regarding the tests used and how appropriate they are

13.How can we bring cultural stuff into all these individually as cultural safety will be the same for all of them? they need to research these types of tests, consider what cultural groups they’re used on, is this appropriate etc

14.We need to finish with RECOMMENDATIONS. Do recommendations go on the information provided? There is nothing  can research for this as it’s so badly written.

What can do for the reference? There may not be references for the evaluation of the recommendations, but you should try to provide justification for whether you think the recommendations that were made are appropriate or not.

16.Do we match the recommendations what information has been provided in the report? If yes, can we just write ‘this is an appropriate recommendation based on the information”? If not, how much detail you expect to be written? yes, that is fine if you believe the recommendation is appropriate.

If it is not appropriate then you need to provide enough information to justify whey you believe it is not appropriate and what would be a better recommendation.

17.If the recommendations do not match the information in the report, do we need to explain why the suggestion is incorrect? yes, you need to provide justification

More Questions
Because this report is generated by an organisational psychologist, student should pay attention that this is an example of psychological assessment in non-clinical settings. So, instead of thinking about a “patient” situation (identify the psychological problem and suggest a plan for more tests or treatment), they have to focus on “client” situation when we are testing people’s eligibility to match an organisational position as well as the area of improvement.

Are students expected to include info from the document labelled “position description” to describe anything about Andrew? Yes, the PD provides the context for the testing and will let you know whether the tests and norms used are appropriate or not.

Are students expected to include info from the document labelled “helpful information”? Can they use it as a reference? as above

If you expect them to discuss MOST not ALL the tests that are mentioned in the report (Abstract reasoning, numerical reasoning, verbal reasoning, mechanical reasoning, personality measure), is 3 out of 5 tests is enough number? You will need to cover all of the assessments used

Thinking about the template:

Choice of test: students are expected to critically discuss ALL the tests and advantages/disadvantages of conducting these tests to have a better understanding of Andrew’s situation.

Do they need to suggest other tests that might be more helpful in this situation? they could suggest another type of test if they believe that some of the testing has been inappropriate or a gap has not been addressed with the testing

Interpretation of results: How good or bad are the results of ALL the tests interpreted? Do they need to suggest the better ways that the results could be interpreted? yes, if an interpretation is not appropriate provide some idea of what would have been more appropriate

Appropriateness of recommendations: Think about the appropriateness of the recommendations to practically improve Andrew’s situation. Do they need to suggest the better recommendations based on their understanding? Yes

How can irrational thinking or beliefs impact emotions and behavior? Can you think some examples of how a person’s irrational thinking changed their behavior or emotions? provide examples.

Week 4 Discussion A – Post SWK 527

Social Work is the subject.

Attached are resources from the Documents and links for the reading mentioned in the assignment details.

Your prompt for this discussion is as follows:

After reading and learning about cognitive theory and cognitive-behavior therapies, discuss the following:

How can irrational thinking or beliefs impact emotions and behavior? Can you think some examples of how a person’s irrational thinking changed their behavior or emotions? provide examples.

Explain how changing the way one thinks about a problem might change the way they experience a problem, and therefore, change the way they respond to a problem.

Do not forget to include additional research that supports your claims, and to properly cite and reference this material.

For a correlational study: “Factors that Contribute to Resilience in Female Employees during COVID-19”

Critically evaluate the design and efficacy of the intervention study and application of the theory to the intervention.

Critically evaluate the design and efficacy of the intervention study and application of the theory to the intervention.

Find one published paper from the literature that presents one Health Psychology intervention study.

The paper should present an intervention study where the intervention design is underpinned by Health Psychology theory and the target population must be have a chronic condition.

The intervention should aim to change any of the following: behaviour; beliefs; attitudes; knowledge; psychosocial outcomes; intentions; physical health. This paper needs to be published in a peer-reviewed journal. The intervention must focus on a chronically ill population.

Task: Critically evaluate the design and efficacy of the intervention study and application of the theory to the intervention.

want to attach a video that explains the assignment in detail but it won’t let me share it here, therefore, once the order has been through,  email the video.

don’t choose diabetes as a chronic condition because used it for my other assessment. Apart from Diabetes find a paper of any other chronic condition. The paper must target a chronic condition population and the theory used in the paper must be related to health psychology.

Attaching some of the theories slides that can be used in health psychology and some chronic conditions too. Feel free to find a paper that uses other theory but must be related to health psychology.
