Epidemiology Research Paper
Present a brief clinical description of a communicable disease (including signs and symptoms, diagnostic methods, treatment, incubation, possible complications and prognosis).
Provide a written epidemiological description of the model, selecting an appropriate epidemiological model (use the EPI Triangle) and describe the model and what it depicts.
Provide a visual/graphic of the model. In the appendix include and label a diagram of the model. (Not generic but specific to the disease, if not your own model needs to be cited).
Describe each of the following: agent, host, and environment, the characteristics and factors as well as the relationships between them. In detail.
Discuss the local, national and global impact of the disease including statistics on prevalence and incidence. Discuss the effects/implications of the disease locally, nationally and globally. If the disease is not a current threat may discuss historical context instead.
Identify gaps and areas of opportunity for improvement, further research or program successes as applicable.
