You are encouraged to draw from the ideas that have been covered in Blocks 3 and 4 of this module’s teaching and, where possible, from the other Blocks in this Module too.
It is important to be integrative with your contemporary review so that you can show your understanding that the Blocks offer you ‘lenses’ to analyse a specific mental health issue but they are not the singular way of looking at, and tackling, the issue.
The structure of the essay should be as follows:
1) You need to identify the mental health issue and justify as to why it is deemed to be current and urgent.
2) You need to critique the key processes that are underpinning your chosen mental health issue and identify the processes that appear to be most important.
3) You need to discuss the potential interventions that could be used to address your chosen mental health issue.
