For this assignment, you need to locate five (5) sources that you may use for your research paper.Review the research paper assignment in order to determine if your selected topic will work.

The topic for the research paper is a current controversial issue and the research paper itself will present an argument on that issue. Look for sources that are current and provide the reader with accurate information.

Wikipedia and general encyclopedias are not acceptable. If you use these types of sources you will receive a zero on this assignment Also, not more than two works may come from a collection of essays. Do not use the textbook as a source for the annotated bibliography.

For EACH SOURCE you need to give the bibliographic information for the source (this is the same information that you would include in a works cited entry for the source) followed immediately by a short summary of about 75 to 125 words that gives the main points of the source.

You then will have a brief paragraph of three to five sentences that evaluates the source. Is it current? Reliable? Well researched? You will then have two to three sentences that explain how you will use the source or how it relates to your working.

This means that each entry will consist of three parts (bibliographic information followed by a summary of the sources, an evaluation of the source, and an explanation of how you plan to use the source).

What distinguishes this essay from the previous one is that you are expected to answer your question by focusing on a specific example or case study, for example the advertising campaign(s) of a particular company, a particular celebrity, a media event, or analyse media coverage of particular event/issue/group of people.

Throughout these nine lessons, you have read and responded to Lanier’s ten arguments for deleting your social media. You’ve moved through 2000+ years of rhetorical theory, and you have produced and analyzed different argumentation methods.

At this point, we’ve come to the 20th and 21st centuries. Contemporary research about argumentation often focuses on argument as much broader than public, political, and judicial texts. Instead, scholars today often focus on how we are persuaded by popular and mass media.

This would include social media. Scholars today argue that social media is as relevant as a form of communication like any other.

Just like we’ve studied speeches, essays, letters, and literature, they would also argue that we can also study Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Slack, Tik Tok, Snapchat, Tumblr, and Reddit. Social media is communication.

Consider, then, these definitions of rhetoric (remember, rhetoric = persuasion/argumentation) from 20th and 21st-century scholars and substitute “rhetoric” for “social media”.

“Rhetoric is that which creates an informed appetite for the good.” (Richard Weaver, 1948)

“Rhetoric is rooted in an essential function of language itself, a function that is wholly realistic and continually born anew: the use of language as a symbolic means of inducing cooperation in being that by nature respond to symbols” (Kenneth Burke, 1950).

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act that was implemented in 2014 provides rights and protections to make health care more affordable and understandable

(1). Competitive bidding is a viable alternative to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act when the suppliers are competing for their product at the most reasonable price possible.

Defining factors regarding the competitive bidding process and its survival or failure in the health care arena regarding the implementation of Universal Health Care are that suppliers must submit bid prices in the amount that is willing to be accepted as payment

(2). Then the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) enters a contract with the durable medical equipment (DME) at the price that has been determined by the competitive bid

There are various blood glucose monitors in the market, however only a few are covered by Medicaid.
