Texas Independence Paper
First, read the Two Views on Texas Independence, both in the module and linked here
Then write a two page paper in which you explain what the two interpretations of Texas Independence are and which you side with. Lastly, connect these two views to the growing national divide over the giant role that slavery played in the national economy and national life. Remember, the Texas Independence Movement came BEFORE the US war with Mexico and was a principle cause of that War. While am not a huge stickler for dates, etc, it is important that you understand some things happened before or after other things.
