Describe some of the risks and consequences of the failure to act ethically during the data collection and gathering phase.

7step research method’s applied analysis

Add to the paper below an build upon it. Given that the total assignment should be around

10 pages when completed (excluding title and references pages). In
your case assignment, you wrote about the first 4 steps in the
research process (see diagram below)

Now, add to your paper the final three (3) steps in the research
process. You will need to review the paper below and other documents attached to enhance your paper, which means you may need to go back and address the tense of your paper, hone it in certain areas, etc., in order to continue to build the completed signature assignment.

The statements below are preliminary but respond with a synthesized
approach and not just checking the block to finish.

In other words,
teach me something about your research area of interest.

1. Discuss the main types of data collection techniques and

identify the method most suitable for your types of data and
your research question.

• Include any biases you think might affect the data set

• during the collection process.

• Discuss your plan to mitigate these biases.

2.Describe the main steps used in preparing the data set for
analysis.

• Discuss the importance of the in ensuring a high quality of data analysis

• Specify some of the challenges that you might incur during data analysis and a plan to overcome these challenges.

3. Describe some of the risks and consequences of the failure to act ethically during the data collection and gathering phase.

• Address whether or not your research question may incur ethical challenges or not.

• Share some techniques that you may use to address the ethical concerns

Related to data collection, analyzing and presentation of your research.

4. Anticipate the following in your area of interest
• Major findings
• Limitations
• Future research

Discuss when you might use a qualitative approach to observation, include an evaluation/critique of the approach and contrast it with more quantitative approaches to observation.

Qualitative Data Assignment
Observation as a method of data collection

For this assignment, you are going to observe and analyse a 5-minute video clip of a nursery setting:

I’m scared of thunder!

As you watch this video, take detailed field notes of what you are observing – recording behaviours and relevant dialogue.

These notes will go in your appendix and you will use them to demonstrate how you coded the data and developed your themes. You could look at the ‘Qualitative Approach’ slides in Session 12 as an example of a researcher’s field notes (the NVivo screen shot).

In an actual real-world study, it is likely you would continue to analyse further observation data as it is difficult to make any strong claims based on this limited amount of data.

However, for the purposes of this assignment, you will only be focused on this 5-minute video.

The broad aim of this study is to examine children’s emotions in nursery settings. It is up to you to decide on a more specific research question.

Suggested plan of report (1000 words)

Introduction: The research question (approx. 10-20 words):

• State your chosen research question. Your question may focus on Heidi’s behaviours, the actions of her peers, the teacher, or interactions between/among the children and adults. The research question should be related to the broad aim of the study, stated above.

Method: Type of analysis (approx. 200 words):

• Describe the type of thematic analysis you used to analyse your data, outlining the different steps you took.

Results (approx. 300 words):
• Identify and describe two key themes, using examples/quotations to support your description.

• Explain how these themes are relevant to your research question.

Discussion (approx. 500 words):
• Reflect on how effective this approach was in terms of addressing your research question.

Identify any issues you encountered and how they might be resolved in future studies

• Discuss when you might use a qualitative approach to observation, include an evaluation/critique of the approach and contrast it with more quantitative approaches to observation.

References (not included in word count)

• Include any literature you have used to support your writing/arguments – format according to APA guidelines

Appendix (not included in word count)

• Include your field notes demonstrating how you coded the data (Video 3 in Session 14 gives you an example of one way to do this – codes in one column, field notes in the other).

• Include a table or diagram showing which codes relate to which themes

Did you enjoy the movie, and would you recommend it? Be sure to discuss whether the inaccuracies/accuracy contribute to your opinion of the film. What the heck does that mean?

Japanese Historical Film Essay

Watch “Kokurikozaka Kara” (From up on Poppy hillコクリコ坂から) the studio Ghibli film. Here’s a link if you need it: then write a paper with these parameters by the professor: Choose a movie (or tv show) set in within the scope of class (around 1500 through today, Japan) and watch it. It could be about a specific event in Japanese history, or just set in the past.

1) Briefly explain what your chosen film is about (if you are writing a paper, no more than a paragraph or two).

2) Pick 3 aspects the movie (or show) gets right, and pick 3 aspects it gets wrong (or that have problems).

Be sure to have reputable sources to back up your claims of right or wrong.

You might look at big things (accuracy in a major event depicted), or look at details (fashion or technology – is it period-accurate?)

3) Did you enjoy the movie, and would you recommend it? Be sure to discuss whether the inaccuracies/accuracy contribute to your opinion of the film. What the heck does that mean? Well, there are some movies that are really historically inaccurate, but they still sort-of tell about an important event or time period, and I still enjoy them — looking at you, Braveheart.

Identify different reference groups that you use to assess distinct kinds of behavior (e.g., academic performance, athletic performance, etc.)? What does your choice of reference groups tell you about the concept of social comparison?

Leon Festinger’s social comparison theory suggests that we compare ourselves to members of a reference group in order to assess our own behavior. In thinking about your own tendencies to engage in social comparison, can you identify different reference groups that you use to assess distinct kinds of behavior (e.g., academic performance, athletic performance, etc.)? What does your choice of reference groups tell you about the concept of social comparison?

Follow the instructions below and the HD section of the attached marking. thank you as always will send you another paper after this that is due next week so you have more time. Really need to ace this “interview” task.

In this assessment task, you will be asked a variety of interview questions for a potential graduate nurse program position and are required to prepare and provide a response to each of these questions.

Questions to be asked for this fictitious graduate nurse program position will involve general questions, hospital focused questions, situational questions, attitudinal, behavioural and clinical questions, knowledge-based questions and transition questions.

You are to research and prepare responses to all these questions and then deliver your response to each question via a 10 minute (+/- 10%) oral presentation.
