You are appointed as a consultant for a luxury resort in Europe, at a popular summer destination of your choice.
You have to prepare an analysis on the globalization of the F&B in the context of “thinking globally – buying locally”.
Your report should show how current issues and trends will be introduced at the resort and addressing:
• The globalization of the food industry with increased sourcing of food within the EU and overseas
• The consolidation of the food supply base into fewer, larger suppliers
• Major changes in the supply chain and logistics
• Centralized and concentrated supplies and sales
You are to choose the tourism destination under discussion and your analysis should be supported with relevant literature and related examples from practice.
