Address the following:
Three social issues or challenges your chosen group faces.
Identify and describe the organization along with examples of the work they do.
Compare and contrast traditional and strategic HR. In what types of organizations might traditional HR still be appropriate?
What are the main barriers that prevent an organization from taking a more strategic approach to HR? Why do they exist, and how can they be overcome?
What is the role of HR in your current organization? What could it be? What should it be? Why does HR assume the role that it does?

What changes have you initiated in the past year and what impact have these had on your organization and/or team?
1. Choose a communication theory we have (or will) studied this semester. Try to find one that interests you.
2. Do a search on your theory and try to find at least one source you can use to help you explain the theory (can be from anytime) and at least four academic studies (from 2006-2021) that have been done using the theory. To do a database search follow these steps:
enter the name of your theory under a keyword search and see if articles are available. (Some will have more articles than others. If you can’t find a lot you might look at sources cited in the articles you do have or choose another theory) Most articles are available on-line but some may be available in the library or through inter-library loan (this usually only takes 2 or 3 days and they e-mail you the article).
You can then refine your search to “Limit to articles from scholarly publications” or use the subject terms to limit the number of results you get.
Another Alternative Way to find Communication (Discipline) Specific Peer-Reviewed Publications that contain studies using the theory you selected is by looking through communication research journals that our library has paid subscription access.
Paper Organization:
3. The first 2 pages or so of your paper should explain what the theory is. In this section not only want you to cite your book used in class, but also at least one other source.
5. The final page should summarize the findings. Describe any trends, connections and/or observations you made during your research and based on your findings.

Include a reference page of sources you cite in APA citation format.
7. The paper needs to be formatted according to the APA paper format guidelines listed at the link below on the OWL Purdue website. Include a proper title page, us 12 pt. Times New Roman font, double spaced, proper margin size, etc.

The presentation needs to be realistic. That is, the subject must be researched, and the financials have to be based in reality. Similarly, what you’re asking for, and for what purpose, must be spelled out, realistic and reasonable.
NOTE: Your presentation does NOT have to be based on a real company, organization, or event. It can be fictitious.

Organization essay assignment
Write an organized essay that has both focus and shape.
Here are the details:
1. Do some brainstorming, freewriting, reaction, etc. to come up with an essay topic. It could be a topic from your Reader Response in the last Unit, or it can be a whole different topic.
2. When you get a specific topic, create a thesis using the Topic + Claim About Topic = formula in this unit. Also, consider the tools of audience and expectation for this essay. The audience is going to be your instructor, but you might be thinking of other readers as well. The expectation is this is a formal college essay.
3. Now that you have your , spend some time thinking of at least 3 points to support the thesis. You should have at least 3 points for an essay this size but no more than 5.
4. Develop an outline where you have your introduction, the body made up of 3 to 5 points and a conclusion.
5. Now that you have an outline, you will write your essay. This is just a matter of writing in the details for each of the points that you listed in your outline.
6. After writing your essay, spend some time revising and editing. Are there points you want to add or go more in-depth with to support your ? Did you proofread for mechanical errors?
7. Give the essay a title.
List three reasons an organization might choose to make a product or service in-house and three reasons why an organization might choose to buy or outsource the work?

After reviewing the Course Overview in Week 1 Documents and Resources, and the requirements of the Strategic Issue Analysis paper (found in Week 7 Assignment and Rubric in the Rubrics folder in Course information), post one or more strategic organizational issues you might use for this analysis for peer and instructor feedback.
Position yourself as the leader, and include a brief description of areas of concern, the importance and goals in addressing each identified issue.
My possible topic for my paper is myself as a middle manager in my current organization.
would like to continue my research on dealing with disgruntled employees, communication from top leadership down to the lowest level employee, and creating positive work environments.
