1. Contrast and compare different sensor techniques and sample treatment in forensic and analytical procedures;
2. Evaluate the best sensors to characterise different toxics and agents of interest using suitable instrumentation;
3. Criticise procedures useful from a forensic and analytical prospective and implement alternative methods;
4. Design and evaluate methods for discrete and digital signal processing, including filtering of processed data;
5. Assess the usefulness of materials, technologies and devices used in sensor technology for their use in Forensic and Analytical Sciences;
6. Evaluate bio/chemical and electrochemical sensors in the area of Forensic and Analytical Sciences.
The marks will be assigned as follows: Introduction (20%), materials and methods (20%) discussion (40%), Conclusions (10%), References (10%)
