USE APA 7TH EDITION

• Introduction (no more than 1 page in length) – if, through your analysis, you have been able to demonstrate that one of the camps of thought under discussion has a stronger argument (as defined by Lewis), you can make this your  statement.

However, you are not to take sides when it comes to the topic itself.

Write the review in third-person and be as objective and inclusive as possible. The literature review must be structured so that it is not just an annotated bibliography – remember that the main purpose is not only to examine different viewpoints on a topic but, more importantly, to discuss how these viewpoints are presented in different ways.

If your analysis points to the strength of the argumentation employed by a particular camp of thought, you will introduce this idea in your introduction and give an overview of the main ideas in each of your sections.

As you write your sections, remember to relate your information back to the main idea. Additionally, use the introduction to introduce the scope and types of sources you are analysing.

• Background (no more than 1 page in length) – in this section, you will summarise some basic facts/background information about your issue using a variety of sources.

Describe what the issue is and why it is important. Use sub-headings where appropriate. You will probably wish to organise this section like a mini-essay, with a short introductory paragraph to introduce your main idea and main points, and a conclusion that wraps up your ideas in a satisfying manner and relates them back to your overall idea.

• Viewpoints (no more than 3 pages in length) – in this section, you will group the different viewpoints that your authors have about this issue into several categories or camps of thought, with a separate sub-heading for each category.

Discuss each viewpoint and analyse/explain why the authors approach the topic in the way that they do. Set the viewpoints in context by discussing how they relate, respond, or appear to be influenced by each other

How does the inclusion of the chosen theoretical orientation contribute to an understanding of the problem being investigated?

This assignment is the first stage of a full research paper.

The study will be about the effects of various aspects of family life on the overall satisfaction of Students in a graduate program.

The problem statement will be something to the effect of “lack of sufficient student satisfaction in graduate programs amongst students with families” ( In other words, because of various family dynamics and responsibilities it is harder on the student and thus the student is less satisfied than those without family responsibilities.)

There are three main sections to the paper.

Section 1: The problem statement, which includes:
What you are studying and why it is important?
A clear statement of the problem to which your study relates?
Characteristics of the problem? (Who is affected, how)
Scope and intensity of the problem? (How many affected? with what impact?)
Its place as a social work concern – historically and now?
Background of the problem within American society?
Discussion of relevant federal and state policies and/or judicial decisions to address the problem, both historic and current?

Section 2: Theoretical Framework, which includes,
Briefly discuss the theoretical/conceptual framework for your study.
What theoretical orientation guides the study?
What rationale justifies the use of this theoretical orientation?
How does the inclusion of the chosen theoretical orientation contribute to an understanding of the problem being investigated?

Section 3: Research Design, which includes,
Briefly identify and justify the type of research design you/we are considering.

Have attached a table which shows some of the variables which will be used in this study down the line to give more of an orientation for where this study is headed. have also attached a finished example of what the basic structure and layout of the assignment should look like.  Delete all sent files after use.

If this is done right will gladly send the upcoming aspects of this study to the same writer in the coming weeks

How do students handle these interactions? Are academic subjects dropped due to tensions between parents and students?

Recommendation

Recommendations for Homeschooling Studies It is time to expand homeschooling studies beyond the typical examinations of academic
achievement, student socialization, and parental motivation to homeschool. The findings from
this study introduced new avenues of inquiry that may be worth pursuing including
investigations into the emotionally-charged interactions between parents and students and the
lack of writing instruction among some homeschooling families. Based on these discoveries,
would recommend two future studies: First, believe a mixed method study of the emotionallycharged
interactions typical in the homeschool setting is warranted.

A broad survey could be given to 500+ participants asking about emotional interactions during academic instruction between parents and students (e.g., crying).

This survey could be followed up with a multiple case study examining these interactions.

Some questions to be addressed could include the following:

Are such interactions typical in the homeschool setting? How do parents handle these interactions?

How do students handle these interactions? Are academic subjects dropped due to tensions between parents and students?

Another valuable homeschooling study could revolve around why some parents do not teach writing.

For instance, the study could begin with a brief survey sent to 500+ homeschooling families asking how many homeschooling parents teach writing, how they teach

it, and with what frequency it is taught, followed up by a multiple case study of families who do
199 not teach writing.

Some questions to be addressed could include the following:

What reasons factor into an avoidance of teaching writing?

What is the writing self-efficacy of those students who have not been formally taught writing?
