Step 1:
What career do you imagine for yourself after you finish college, or what would your ideal career be after you graduate? Even if you haven’t declared a specific major, choose a field that you think you might be interested in working in.
Step 2:
Once you decide on a career field, do research to answer these questions, “what kind of writing will you need to do in your career? How are writing skills important in your career field?”
Who’s your primary audience? What does this employer want? Can you show you are the best candidate for this job? Will you need references?
