Assistant Prosecutor Visone is prosecuting a gang case. Many of the State’s witnesses are reluctant to testify because they fear they will be labelled a “snitch” and gang members will retaliate against them. The Prosecutor makes a motion to close the courtroom and not allow anyone from the public (especially gang members) in to watch the trial. What will the Court consider in deciding this motion?
